There is no doubt, that comfort fosters confidence. Simon has bought his underwear in Italy since he lived there, quite some time ago. The perfect undershirt keeps you fresh and should not disturb your shirt with thick seams or lumpy neck bands. The perfect underwear, either briefs or boxers should be soft, cool and resilient.
The search for such quality took us to Biella, one of Italy’s textile centres, where Boglietti underwear is made. The company was founded by Antonio Boglietti in 1867, as the first knitwear company in the country. Today they form part of the Trucco Tessile Group, owned by the Trucco family, and their expertise is concentrated on undergarments. They use exclusively Italian produced fabrics and all their Filo di Scozia (Lisle Cotton) products are certified by the Filoscozia organisation.
The T-shirts are especially designed to be worn under dress shirts. Made from Filoscozia they are fine, breathable and refreshing. We also chose an amazing wool/silk blend for the winter, ideal for hunting or country pursuits. The undershorts are all in Mako long staple Egyptian cotton with 12% Elasthan. Their use of new generation sewing machines, the improvement of the bielastic fabric with modern microemulsion finishing and soft mechanical preshrinking enhance the sensation of softness, comfort and performance of this material.
